Dotted throughout Europe there are a number of memorials in honour of crews who have fallen in battle. Often they are found on the exact spot where an aircraft and crew met their tragic end. These memorials were erected by residents of the village or hamlets in proximately of the crash or by the people just as a way of paying their respect to the fallen. Either way they are a focal point of remembrance to that particular crew. The following pages record these memorials and details on the crews that they honour.
